I thought I’d do a post to show you some of the nail art I have done for Christmas 2014.

I had a lot of fun doing these designs. Having festive nails really helps get you into the Christmas spirit!

Ulta3 Nail Art

I thought I’d do a post sharing some of my recent nail art using Ulta3 polishes.
I now own over 200 Ulta3 colours and love having such a wide range of colours for my nail art.

Nail Stamping Decals

I have seen these done by lots of other artists and really wanted to try them.
I had a heap of fun making them and will certainly be doing a lot more in the future!

I’ll give you guys a bit of a write up on the method I used.

Ulta3 Black Board Nail Art

Look what I have today!
I was very excited to receive the Ulta3 black board nails kit to review.
I have been wanting this product ever since I heard whispers of it.

The Ulta3 Black Board Nail Art Pack includes, a black matte base coat, 5 pastel, chalk coloured nail art stripers & a bonus double ended dotting tool.

Jelly Sandwich Ulta3 Nail Art

I haven’t done many jelly sandwiches during my nail art journey, I don’t know why because I absolutely love the look of them!

What is a jelly sandwich you ask?
It is glitter polish ‘sandwiched’ between layers of a see through/jelly polish.
Usually two colour coats for the base, glitter for the filling and another colour coat for the top.

I started off as I always do with G&G Stuck On Blu! as my base.
I then painted two layers of Ulta3 Scarlet followed by a layer of Ulta3 Disco fever (two sizes of red hexagon glitter in a clear base) and a layer of Ulta3 Twinkle Toes (two sizes of silver hexagon glitter)

I then added one more layer of Ulta3 Scarlet for the top of the sandwich. I love the depth you get using this technique.
Once the polish had dried a little I topped it off with a coat of G&G HK Girl Topcoat.

To add the final touches I used the Ulta3 Nail Art Striper in Black Satin to draw a random design then placed some small silver hexagon glitters for some extra bling!

Leopard Print & Stripes Over Nude Gradient Ulta3 Nail Art

I love nude gradients and I also love leopard print so I thought I may aswell mix the two 🙂

Colours used – Ulta3
• Lily White • Cloud Nine • Gingerbread •
• Party Shoes • Black Satin •
Base & Top Coat from Glisten & Glow

Here is how I did it.

1, Apply a base coat & paint the whole nail white. I used Ulta3 Lily White.
2, Paint 3 nude colours overlapping just a little onto a makeup sponge. I use the wedge ones. Some people dampen their sponge but I just use it dry.
3, Apply your first layer and wait for it to dry.
4, Apply more polish to your sponge and apply to nail in a dabbing motion. Repeat until you achieve desired opacity.

5, Apply topcoat. I use G&G HK Girl.
6, Once dry apply 4 lines of striping tape. I get my striping tape from ebay.
7, Paint pink polish ( Ulta3 Party Shoes ) in the center space keeping between the two inner tape lines.

8, Paint black ( Ulta3 Black satin ) along the side strips between the inner and outer tape.

9, Remove the tape as quickly as possible to achieve clean lines.
10, Take a dotting tool and place random pink spots for the leopard print on either side of the black lines.
11, Again with a dotting tool use black polish to outline your spots.
12, Wait for the print to dry a bit before applying topcoat to avoid smudging.

Ulta3’s 10 New Colours Review & Swatches

I was recently sent 10 new shades from Ulta3. As soon as I saw them I loved them. The two nudes and the green were calling my name!
These 10 polishes are made in Taiwan again. The most recent easter collection was made in PRC and people were wondering if production had moved back there. It seems it was a one off.
The formula of these polishes is outstanding!
Coverage is fantastic. All colours needed no more than two coats with some being one coaters!

Swatches –

Purple primrose
2 coats. A bright magenta purple with an eye catching shimmer.

On The Green
2 coats. A beautiful pale green creme polish. One of my favourite greens.

Untold Secret
2 coats. An elegant rosey nude. This polish is now my favourite Ulta3!

Wild Heart
2 coats but could have used 1. A deep plum purple. May be good for stamping. Great winter colour!

Rising Sun
2 coats. Could have used 1.
A thick, creamy, deep sunrise red. The name suits the polish to a T.
Fabulous formula, went on very smoothly.

It’s A Bit Grey
2 coats. Could have used 1.
A deep grey creme polish. Lovely to apply and would work well for stamping.

Cloud Nine
2 coats. This is a lovely beige nude. It reminds me of pottery clay. A perfect base for many nail art looks.

Pop Art
2 coats but could certainly be a one coater. A beautifully deep pink that just pops!
I think it would make for a great stamping polish!

Moody Blues
2 coats. An intense deep navy blue creme.
Another perfect formula! Love this colour!

Hearts Desire
2 coats. A gorgeous red/pink.
Perfect formula. Would be a great valentines day colour!

I recommend everyone go out and purchase these polishes when they are available. It seems Ulta3 has stepped it up a notch on their already outstanding polishes!

Ulta3 Colour Game Collection Review & Nail Art

I only recently completed this collection a couple of weeks ago when I finally found Emerald Inten-City!

Now that I have them all I thought I’d do a little review and some nail art for you.

Colours in the Colour Game Collection are as follows –

(Blue) Block It Out – A stunning bright blue with a beautiful eye-catching shimmer.

(Orange) Bright Me – A straight up in your face orange. This also has a beautiful shimmer.

(Green) Emerald Inten-City – A lovely emerald green. One of my favorite colours in the collection! Also has a slight shimmer.

(Pink) Tone It Up – This colour is just wonderful. It is a deep and bright

watermelon colour pink.

(Purple) Palette Play – The perfect purple. Not too bright and too dark. A very versatile purple.

I wanted to use all the colours in one nail art look.

I went for a half moon, striping tape mani.

□ Apply base coat. I used G&G Stuck on blu!

□ Apply a white base colour.

□ Apply fast drying topcoat to all nails. I used HK Girl Topcoat.

□ Once dry, apply a half moon nail vinyl. I used @teismom vinyls.

□ Apply four lines of striping tape making 5 even spaces.

□ Fill each of the spaces with different colours.

□ Immediately remove your striping tape and nail vinyls. Make sure you do this when the polish is still wet to achieve clean lines.

□ Clean up any excess polish on or around the cuticle.

□ Wait for the colours to dry a bit before applying topcoat to avoid smudging.

It looks like lollies!

   I would say this is a must have collection for all nail polish enthusiasts!
